OVERVIEW
The UEFA Nations League is a biannual international football competition involving the men's national teams of the member associations of UEFA, Europe's governing body for sport. The first tournament started in September 2018. The four group winners of League A qualified for the final, which took place in June 2019 in Portugal. The competition replaces the previously played international friendlies in FIFA's international match calendar, in which European national teams participate in matches. more frequent competitive matches against other European national teams at a comparable level. The UEFA Nations League also offers teams a chance to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and UEFA EURO 2024 to qualify. Three places will be decided in the play-offs, with ten group runners-up and a margin of two UEFA Nations League group winners who have not yet qualified or are yet to qualify for the play-offs.Likewise, for EURO 2024, the top two teams from each of the ten qualifying groups will qualify directly, while the remaining four places will be decided in a play-off between the nine group runners-up and the top two group winners. Finals
The UEFA Nations League final will take place in June 2023 in an undisclosed host country. The semifinals will be played on June 6th and 7th, the race for third place and the final on June 10th, league-all-games-and-results. The pair semi-finals draw will take place on October 20th.
